With these multimedia materials, students learn common time signatures (4/4, 3/4, 2/4, 1/1, and 6/8), plus uncommon time signatures (5/4, 7/4, 9/4) and skills for starting, stopping, and cuing instruments. Learning to conduct requires adequate practice exercises. For students with access to instrumental or vocal performers, The Big Print Conducting Method: Expanded Exercises also contains scores with flexible instrumentation, so that the exercises can be practiced with any one or two Western band or orchestral instruments or voice.
